Taking a sick day from school

Probably just tired! No fevers! Just dizziness! Lots of snuggling! Boo definitely not feel good! La may be bring a bit dramatic, but not sure! Luckily we are usually a 24 down type of family!

The above picture is proof that the excitement overrode their mommy's advise to sleep on the airplane.  La is crashed with her face plastered in between the seat and side of the car.  Boo is just flat out.  We stayed in a hotel the first night until our timeshare became available.  This is what we found after 15 minutes in the car! 

The first day we hadn't unpacked or even checked into the timeshare.  No worries for BooLa, no swimsuit necessary for water or sand play.  After marveling at the wonders of the vast Pacific Ocean, the waves, the sand, the sharp volcanic rock, it was time to play -- clothes and all!

This diver caught an octopus.  She brought it in for BooLa to touch.  It wasn't long until a local offered to take it off her hands.  He proceeded to bite the spine of the octopus a few times to kill it.  I'm pretty sure it was a meal for someone that night.

Soaked and loving Life!  Hello Hawaii!

It was quite a road trip to get to the other side of the island, but it was a must to see Volcano National Park. 

That is the volcanic steam rising up behind us. 

We didn't get to see any lava, but the nighttime glow was spectacular!

The whole day was filled with amazing sites.  The lava tube reminded me of being in a cave with two entrances.

This place had some amazing samples and some beautiful plants on their grounds.

                                                                                     Luau Time

The Luau was quite an experience.  The dancers and dances from all the different Polynesian Islands were amazing.  The Hula girls caught La's attention from the get go.  She tried her had a hulaing too.  Boo was captivated by the warrior dancers.  It was worth the experience ..... ONCE as the food was terrible (borderline inedible in my opinion)!

1st Degree Yellow Belts

Castle Rock Martial Arts Rocks!!

Two 1st Degree Yellow Belts!  BooLa did not miss a beat with any of their testing today! I think I get more nervous than they do!  I walked out of the house without the camera:(!  Cell phone pics will have to do! I am so proud of their accomplishment today!  The courage, focus, and determination by all the kiddos testing is truly amazing!
